Celebrating a decade of success in co-operation

Helsinki, 25 February 2026: Critical Communications Finland (CCF) has announced its formal membership of global critical communications organisation TCCA, cementing a decade of cooperative partnership, information-sharing and mutual support.

CCF is a user and solutions-driven membership forum for building trust, resulting in ‘success in co-operation’.  CCF was initiated by the Finnish national public safety network operator Erillisverkot prior to Critical Communications World 2016 in Amsterdam to bring together Finnish users, public safety operator, companies and other members in the value chain to foster national and international co-operation across governmental and non-governmental stakeholders in critical communications.

With close to 50 member organisations representing the complete Finnish critical communications ecosystem, CCF presents innovations for citizens, users, agencies and operators, demonstrating how Finnish safety and security agencies, social stakeholders and solution providers have made progress through co-operation and collaboration.

CCF hosts Finnish authorities and the national public safety operator of Virve service, who to share their practical experience on how national, regional, local operations and incidents are successfully managed and supports Finland in its transition to a critical mobile broadband network.

Speaking on behalf of Critical Communications Finland, coordinator Tero Pesonen said: “CCF has long been a partner of TCCA, sharing our expertise and innovations, and supporting the global critical communications community, including hosting TCCA’s Critical Communications World event in 2023 in Helsinki, Finland. We are pleased to now be a formal member of TCCA and look forward to continuing our work together to advance critical communications for the benefit of all.

Finland is at the forefront of ensuring that its first responders have the best possible technology to support their critical work, with the products and solutions of CCF members in use across the world,” said TCCA CEO Kevin Graham. “The Finnish ecosystem understands the value of common standards and solutions, and CCF are always committed to ‘success in cooperation’ as per their slogan. CCF has long been an advocate of TCCA, and we warmly welcome them to our membership.

It is delightful to see CCF and TCCA formalising their relationship. Nationally, we recognise critical communication needs solid common standards and unified global voice – TCCA is the best vehicle to achieve those. The Finnish ecosystem via CCF can contribute throughout the value chain for the benefit of all,” said Jarmo Vinkvist, VP International Affairs and Public Relations at Erillisverkot.
